The Honorable Members Of Congress - Or How Not To Support Our Troops

It has always been thought "proper" to address members of Congress with the title "Honorable".  The picture above represents a bipartisan meeting among some Honorable Senators on the Defense Appropriations Committee as they discuss "earmarking" $2.6 billion of the defense budget for pet projects.  This means that members of the committee get to set aside a few bucks for projects in their district, even though the military did not request them.  So, when the military says "we need new flak jackets", these military experts in the Senate say "no you don't.  You need this new destroyer that just coincidentally is built in my state."  Then, the Senator who set that money aside gets to go home and say "ain't I just grand" to the voters before the next election.  Not to mention the lobbyist money and union support something like this generates.

Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, another soldier or Marine dies because he didn't have the best protection.

Here's just a few of the things that the money is being spent on:

  1. The Senator Edward M. Kennedy Institute, the purpose of which is to highlight the Senator's many achievements, including his support of our troops while he served on this committee.  Yeah, that's the ticket!  He supported our troops!  You bet!  I fact, I remember how much he supported our troops in Iraq by constantly blasting the war, claiming it was lost, trashing the President and pretty much siding with our beloved "peace activists".  No aid and comfort given to the enemy there.  No sir!  Just an honest difference of opinion.  Maybe we could dedicate a small corner of the "institute" to Mary Jo Kopechne.
  2. $20 million to repair National Guard Humvees in Maine.  The military didn't need this, but the constituents of Senators Snowe and Collins needed the 175 jobs.  So that's one of the ways the Democrats bought Snowe's socialized medicine vote!
  3. $25 million for a WWII museum in New Orleans.  Now personally, I think this is a great idea, but did we need to raid the defense budget to do it?  Somehow, if we could poll all of the living and dead WWII vets, I think that they would overwhelmingly forgo a museum for themselves in favor of supporting our troops in a current war.  But, Democrat Senator Landrieu and Republican Senator Vitter worked together to bring home the bacon for their constituents.  Now that's the true meaning of "bipartisan teamwork"!  No matter what it takes, even if it means making a little less ammo, bring home the pork!

Pigs on both sides of the trough got their snouts filled at the expense of our troops, with Democrat Senator Inouye getting $206 million and Republican Sen. Cochran getting $216 million.  Meanwhile, our pilots are getting inadequate training, tank crews are undertrained and the ammo budget has been cut.  You may also remember that the F22 Raptor (the finest fighter aircraft ever built) got cut a few months back because it was "too expensive."  But, the $4.2 billion for cargo planes and a destroyer that the military doesn't need were not at all extravagant,  at least not when you consider the political benefit to the Senators who brought that bacon home.

Years ago, there was a book titled The Best and the Brightest (which, of course, I didn't agree with.)  If you ever had any doubts that the worst and the dumbest are now in charge of our country, this article should put to rest any uncertainty:

What A Crock Of Gorilla Dung

Well, here's proof positive that liberals are nuts, especially the global warming crowd.  It is now theorized (there's really no solid research on this, but hey, facts are not important ... it's the intent that counts) that gorillas are "the gardeners of the rainforest."  It seems that these cuddly fur balls eat leaves and plants and when mother nature takes her course, seeds pop out of the gorilla's other end, thus encouraging the growth of new plants.

A British "economist" believes that spending $15 billion a year on reforestation programs is the best way to cut greenhouse gas emissions.  It seems the author of this article is suggesting that by encouraging the propagation of gorillas, some of that money could be saved.  Who would ever have though that gorilla dung was a valuable commodity?  In fact, the expert journalist who wrote the story claims that gorilla dung could be the salvation of the planet!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/oct/13/gorilla-forests-climate-change-redmond

Just a couple of points here:

  1. Global warming is a just another way of politicians saying "we thought of a great new way to pick your pockets and reduce your freedoms!"  Have you looked at a weather map lately?  Mighty frosty out there.
  2. I spent a year in a "rain forest" and let me tell you, it was a real jungle!
  3. That $15 billion for reforestation?  My guess is that since the amount quoted is in dollars, not pounds or Euros, the assumption is that we'll just get that money from the good ole' USA.
  4. Since the gorillas are passing huge amounts of sharp seeds, do you suppose that the UN should mount a mission to distribute Preparation H to them? They can probably implement this program for well under $10 billion.
  5. I want to save the planet so much that I am considering buying some pet gorillas and letting them roam my backyard.  The neighbors will love that!
  6. The wholesale slaughter of the world's gorillas is a real tragedy and stopping it is undoubtedly good for the environment.  But for God's sake, can we stop the histrionics? Saving the planet with gorilla dung?  Give me a break.

This monumental news story is a wake up call as well as a call to action. Until we are able to implement this sweet smelling plan and save the gorillas, you should stop driving your car and stop breathing.  We all need to reduce our carbon footprint.

Reader Survey (and some minor stuff about media bias)

Survey Question:  Which of the above photos do you find more appealing?  As they say in my hometown, "not for nothin'.  Just askin'".

Anyway, the attached link describes statements to CNN by White House Communications Director Anita Dunn (pictured above.)  She goes into great detail about how Fox news is a "wing" of the Republican Party, while CNN is of course a true news network.  I have to agree.  Rarely, do I see any sort of left wing bias in the reporting of CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle, etc. Certainly, they never slam the right.  They just report the news in an uncolored manner so you can decide what conclusions to draw.  That statement is true along with "I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky", "the check is in the mail", "Read my lips; no new taxes", "I attended Reverend Wright's church but didn't agree with most of what he said" and "we will cut taxes for the middle class".

This claim by the Obama administration made me think yet again about the subject of overall media bias.  It is truly astounding how this administration can make a nonsensical claim like this, especially since a compliant mainstream media in fact got their no-name, do nothing candidate elected through sheer biased reporting of his campaign.  But hey, just as with Clarence Thomas, it's not the truth that counts.  It's the severity of the charge.  It also helps if you repeat the same baseless twaddle over and over.  If you say it enough, a certain number of idiots will believe it.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/10/12/white-house-escalates-war-words-fox-news/

You might want to pay particular attention to these two paragraphs.  You decide who's "fair and balanced":

"As for Dunn's complaint about Fox News' coverage of the Obama campaign, a study by the Pew Research Center showed that 40 percent of Fox News stories on Obama in the last six weeks of the campaign were negative. Similarly, 40 percent of Fox News' stories on Obama's Republican opponent, Sen. John McCain, were negative.
"On CNN, by contrast, there was a 22-point disparity in the percentage of negative stories on Obama (39 percent) and McCain (61 percent). The disparity was even greater at MSNBC, according to Pew, where just 14 percent of Obama stories were negative, compared to a whopping 73 percent of McCain stories -- a spread of 59 points."
Of course, none of this info will change the opinion on either side of the issue.  I still contend that I'm correct in saying the media has a hard left bias based on my personal observations and several reputable polls over the years. In fact, several polls have shown that over 90% of the main stream media votes Democrat.

When I was in my mid 20's, I regarded Walter Cronkite as the epitome of honest journalism.  That is until I really thought about what he was saying.  His reporting of the Vietnam war bordered on criminal because his actions gave vast aid and comfort to our enemy.  By his account of the Tet Offensive, our bumbling military finally lost the war during that campaign. In fact, it was a great and hard fought victory for the U.S. Marines.  In later years, Cronkite's Progressive agenda bias became even more obvious.  If this man, who has long been held up as a paragon of unbiased journalism, leaned so far to the left, how fair do you think the rest of the media is?

To validate my assertions, you may want to read this information from the Media Research Center:

http://www.mrc.org/Profiles/cronkite/welcome.asp

I'm using Cronkite as one glaring example of the huge left wing bias in the media.  You can easily identify dozens of other "journalists" who are blatant liberals and regularly taint their news coverage with their opinions.  The point is that we shouldn't trust what these people feed us and we should always verify our information from multiple sources.  They should do this too, but they don't.

As far as Obama's propaganda machine having the gall to complain about Fox news, I can only say that you've got 90%+ of the egg sucking liberal media in your court.  Were not going to let you shut the other 10% up, no matter how hard you try.

I Haven't Laughed This Hard Since Obama Won The Nobel Peace Prize!

Well, the design geniuses at Peugeot promise that this "car" will give you "The Drive Of Your Life"!  Oh yeah, I'll just bet, especially when a tractor-trailer blows by you at 75MPH on the expressway. It should also be loads of fun when that bus crowds you into the curb. The good news is that if you drive this thing to work, you can probably just put it in the elevator and park it in your office.  Sweet!

I read this article, laughing so hard I had tears I my eyes.  Then, a horrible thought popped into my mind.  This is EXACTLY the kind of car that GM (Government Motors) wants to put you and your family (well, at least one of your family) into.  It's Green! It's sustainable! It's Algore's dream! It's energy efficient! It has a tiny carbon footprint! It's ugly!

The sad part is that there's lots of idiots out there (mostly in Washington, DC and California) who will actually buy one of these circus clown cars.  I'm just glad I'm past my teens.  I can't imagine picking my hot date up in this. But then again, fathers everywhere should be quite happy because no boy could ever take advantage of their daughter in one of these things!

Commander in Chief vs. Procrastinator in Chief

Just for the record, I voted for George Bush but I was never a big fan. His social and economic policies were fiscally weak at best. He wasted too much political capital trying to achieve the lofty goal of bipartisanship. He was not effective in leading his own party. But, when it came to the military, he knew what was important to America. He knew that this all volunteer force was the front line against evil in this world and he respected their bravery and sense of duty. For all of his faults, he was clearly a military president.

Contrast this military veteran President with our Progressive President who misspent his youth as an apostle of Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers (now a respected professor in Chicago), studying Karl Marx, listening to Rev. Wright, writing books (although we're still not sure who actually wrote the books) and "organizing" the community. Sadly, both men bear the title Commander in Chief so the military has to follow Obama's lawful orders. That, of course, does not mean that they have to like him.

Reader Vinnie sent me this YouTube video showing what our troops think of both President Bush and Barack Obama:

Get the picture?

It Is Incumbent On Us To Help Beat This Incumbent

As mentioned previously in this blog, lovable Senator Harry Reid is facing re-election in Nevada and is in deep tapioca. This guy is a poster boy for being the #2 tool for advancing a Progressive (socialist) agenda in the legislative branch (sorry Harry - Nancy Pelosi is a distant #1.) Harry is shown above extending the Obama Administration's salute to the American people. Below that is his expression when questioned by a Fox News reporter.

This article outlines Harry's predicament:

Why would any of my readers care about an election in Nevada? Simple. First, unless your Senator is up for re-election and he is in trouble like this guy, donating money to an opposing candidate's campaign is probably not going to be effective (i.e. - supporting a Ted Kennedy opponent.) Even though Teddy has assumed ground temperature, I'm pretty sure he can win again in Massachusetts. Second, Harry Reid's problems at home give all of us an excellent chance to actually have an effect on national politics. We didn't vote for this bozo but because of his election by his colleagues as Senate Majority Leader, he has national power that far exceeds his position as just a Senator from a secondary state. This is our chance to get rid of him and impact the national picture. Yes, he will be replaced by another Progressive, but we will still gain a Senate seat and we will help cause disruption among the elite socialists in the Senate.

Please consider sending a few bucks to the candidate who is finalized as Reid's opponent in Nevada. It's eight months until the Nevada primary, but this blog will keep you up to date because this has become a cause célèbre for me. Estimates are that Reid will raise upwards of $25 million in an effort to save his seat, so his opponent will need all of the financial help s/he can get. Encourage friends and family to do the same. If enough of us put our money where our mouth is, we can help unseat the truly unsavory Reid.

No Jokes Here - Very Serious Subject

Karl Marx

There won't be any jokes or acerbic remarks in today's blog. This is dead serious material and I believe that everybody should be aware of this. The future of your family and your country depends on you knowing this and getting the word out.

This link will take you to an American Thinker article by Mac Fuller. It is absolutely the best article I have ever read about the people in power who were picked by and who surround Barack Obama. Not only does Mr. Fuller go into great detail about the history and political beliefs of each individual, he provides a vetting of each description with a thorough listing of supportive documents. Skeptics may raise an eyebrow when reading this, but if they really want to verify the truth, they just have to do a little research.

My suggestions? Read the article. Understand it. Send the link to others, regardless of their political leaning and encourage them to read it before passing judgement. Print out copies and give it to those friends & family with whom you have lively discussions about opposing points of view (ie - discuss it with a friend or spouse who voted for Obama.) Hell, pass it out to as many people as you can. You certainly won't convince everyone, but remember that every vote counts.

We can thank the main stream media for Obama. We can thank George Bush and a weak Republican Party for Obama. We can thank apathetic conservatives who didn't vote in the election that put Obama in power. We can thank an education system who we ourselves have allowed to morph into an indoctrination tool for the left for getting Obama elected. There's a lot of places we can look and brood about the sorry state our country is in.

Now it's time to take it back and it won't be easy.

Yes! We Have No Bananas!

The Golden State

Without a lot of rhetoric, this is why you can't support millions of illegal aliens, pay for everyone's college education, promote unfettered growth, provide unlimited "social" programs (you know ... the ones where you hand over money from hard working people to those who sit on their asses all day) and pay state workers with high school educations like they have PhD's in physics from Stanford.

Just look at the numbers in this article:

In case you don't think that this "pig state" (as in - the citizens of this state are just pigs at the trough) budget was inflated, note that lawmakers somehow found $32 billion in just cuts! Think that there was any bloat to start with? Now, they want to sell even more debt bonds - Schwarzenegger says for budget shortfalls. But, the state Treasurer says:

“Everybody thinks there’s still an appetite for California bonds,” Lockyer said. “There’s certainly a continuing need for long-term investments in schools, high-speed rail, stem-cell research centers and so on.”

Proof positive that these people are truly nuts.

Global Warming On A Whole New Level

Huge Carbon Footprint

I just finished reading two articles about global warming. One was about how Al Gore is still lying about the "facts" stated in his fiction documentary (I'm shocked). The other was from the ultra left BBC that was a surprisingly unbiased (well, mostly) article stating that despite political claims, the debate is far from over. Then, I happened to come upon a story about an Al Qaeda linked scientist who was discovered working (and spying) at the CERN nuclear research lab in Switzerland. So, after contemplating these missives, I have come to the conclusion that global warming is definitely going to occur within our lifetime ... just not the way Al Gore thinks it is.

Here are what I feel will be the main contributors to future global warming:

  1. dozens of missing Soviet nukes
  2. a nuclear Pakistan (as soon as the Islamists take it over)
  3. a nuclear North Korea
  4. a soon-to-be nuclear Iran facing a nuclear Israel
  5. Vladimir Putin
  6. an indecisive and weak Barack Obama
  7. a "Progressive" Congress who is more concerned about global warming than national defense
  8. the chopping of the US military budget
  9. cow farts
  10. and of course, murderous Muslim terrorists
Duck and Cover!

"Even If You Are On The Right Track, You Will Get Run Over If You Just Sit There"

The above quote by the famous commentator and political humorist Will Rogers exactly describes Obama's "do nothing" strategy in Afghanistan. To say that this administration is about as dumb as a bag of rocks is an insult to rocks. Apparently, these people don't know that while they practice mental masturbation, there are brave Americans dying in a foreign land. Americans that wouldn't be dying if these idiots would just commit the resources to winning the war or getting the hell out. Trust me, I'm a Vietnam veteran so I'm an expert on the results of political procrastination.

Now that our Procrastinator in Chief has won the Nobel Peace Price (similar to giving Michael Moore an Oscar and about as significant), Obama can now hopefully focus on actually making decisions that will ultimately lead to peace in Afghanistan. You know, that third world armpit where we continue to watch our troops die, not because the war isn't winnable but rather because our dimwit politicians can't make a coherent decision and won't listen to the generals on the scene. In fact, not only won't they listen to the generals, they make sure that they let the world know that they are angry at these military leaders because they have the temerity to speak their mind.

So now, the price we are paying for "change" and "hope" is the blood of our military. And, the best part of this is, the apathetic public (apathetic because they failed to learn the facts before voting ... they just listened to the biased media) who voted for this no name, do nothing community organizer just sits back and babbles on about health care, gay marriage and the rapist Roman Polanski. How pathetic.

If you want to read what I feel is one of the best descriptions of this disgraceful situation, go to this link. This guy hits the nail exactly on the head (I especially love the last paragraph):

What A Gentleman Does Not Say In Public

I'm sure you remember when Congressman Joe Wilson shouted out "you lie" during Obama's most recent photo op - er, meeting - with Congress. To hear Democrats describe it, there was never anything so rude and obnoxious ever uttered within the hallowed walls of Congress (except maybe when the Democrats continually booed President Bush during a State of the Union address).

To see what passes for acceptable verbal protest among our progressive friends, have a listen to the attached video clip. The setting is Arnold Scwhartzenegger speaking at some sort of function in San Francisco where he is heckled by a person who is described as "a California lawmaker". Heckled might be an understatement, since the loudmouth lawmaker shouts out "kiss my faggot ass". That's right. You read it correctly. In a later statement, the "lawmaker" said that the word he used was "gay" and not "faggot" and that he would never use such a pejorative term. Well, I don't know who said it, but the word "faggot" is as clear as a bell on this clip.

San Francisco has been a socialist enclave for decades, so this sort of nonsense is no surprise. What is a surprise is that members of the homosexual community, who are so upset about the failure of "gay marriage" ballot initiatives, actually think that this sort of behavior benefits their cause. Here's a news flash. This behavior may be normal in San Francisco, but it is so over the top anywhere else in the country that whenever most people witness it, they immediately are disgusted and turn a deaf ear to any case you may make for a marriage initiative. Those people who were on the fence regarding this issue (and some who were on your side) will view this video and fall right off of the fence and into the arms of your waiting opponents, as well they should.

I personally have had enough of these shenanigans. I remember the video of one of you punching a older man during your "gay marriage riots". I remember seeing an old woman being pushed to the ground by you. I remember you standing out in front of churches intimidating worshippers. I remember your cheap threats. And now, this. I won't forget this and rather than just vote my conscience, I'll actively work against you whenever and wherever I can.

Your ignorant and obnoxious behavior should not be tolerated and you should pay the price the next time the "gay marriage" issue is put to vote. You should also stop pushing your sexual preferences on everybody and making sex the focal point of your universe, because if you do, you'll find you are in a very lonely cosmos. Nobody really cares about your proclivities and in fact, many are tired of having your worldview thrust upon them.

Moon Attacked!

Marvin The Martian

Well, by now you've heard about NASA's $79 million mission to bomb the moon. Apparently, it is very critical to learn if there is water on the moon so that if we ever visit again, we won't need to bring it with us. We'll also be able to stop there on the way to Mars. And, of course, even though the American taxpayer is paying for this, I'm sure that in the spirit of international cooperation, we'll be sharing what we've learned with the world. That's good news for the Chinese, because then they won't have to spend the $79 million and they can still race us to Mars! Isn't cooperation among world partners wonderful?

Meanwhile, back on earth, unemployment in the US is pushing 10%, the economy is a shambles, we have record deficits, our national debt is an embarrassment and according to Obama, there are all these poor folks who can't afford health care. Given all of this, it only makes sense to blow yet another expensive hole in an already pock marked moon!

Now, don't get me wrong. I cheered our astronauts and it sure was one memorable moment when we landed on the moon, firmly kicking Russia's butt. Very sweet. I also understand man's thirst for knowledge and the value of the quest for it. What I don't understand is why we need to squander money on stupid missions like this. This couldn't wait until the economy improved? We couldn't share the cost with another country? If we do return to the moon in the future, couldn't we accomplish this on the first manned return?

Yes, this is "only" $79 million of taxpayer money, but remember this fiasco the next time Obama is trying to raise taxes. I believe that NASA should be audited by an independent entity (not the government) and the results of that audit should drive any future budgeting process. I also think that the private sector would seize the opportunity to explore and commercialize space and make exploration to the stars profitable and enlightening, if only our government would get out of the way. And after all, wouldn't it be better to have money coming in than pouring money forever down the NASA black hole?

The Nobel Peace Prize

This thing is like trophies at a little kids soccer tournament. Everybody gets one. The only qualification seems to be that you must be a progressive (socialist). But I'll bet Hillary and Bill are REALLY miffed!

I just can't add anymore to what's already been said about this joke. Time to move on to more interesting stuff.

And I Thought ACORN Was A Problem!

Official US Census Bureau Canvasser

You may recall my recent blogs about how ACORN should not be involved in the census as planned by the Obama administration. Rather, they should stick to what they know best ... advising prostitutes and pimps on how to evade paying taxes. Well, I now admit I was off base. Turns out, we've got an even bigger problem with the census.

It seems that the crackerjack bureaucrats at the Census Bureau hired as many as 200 criminals to do door-to-door census canvassing! Yep. You got it straight. 200 ex-cons going door-to-door to help insure the accuracy of the census. AND, each one will have official Census Bureau credentials. Isn't that special?

Picture this:

Ding-dong.

Census Convict (CC): "Hello. I represent the US Census Bureau and I'm here to help you"

Innocent Civilian (IC): "May I see your credentials please?"

CC: "Certainly. Here you go."

IC: "Thank you. You can't be too careful these days."

CC: "Ma'am, we need to fill in all of the required information on this form. First, how many people, including yourself, live at this address?"

IC: "Five"

CC: "Thank you. How many of these people, including yourself are here at the present time?"

IC: "Well, just me. But what does that have to do with ...?"

CC: "Just routine ma'am. Now, do you keep valuables in your home, such as cash or jewelry?"

IC: "Now wait just a minute. What does that have ...?"

CC: "Ma'am, I have a gun under this official Census Bureau clipboard, and I'm not afraid to use it. The gun I mean."

IC: "Oh my God ..."

CC: "Shut up and lie face down on the floor and you won't get hurt. And don't even think of screaming ... I'm an official census taker!"

Is there any doubt in your mind that the census will be anything but fair and accurate?

"It's not personal. It's just business."

"Don" Charlie Rangel

Well, New York's version of the Godfather, Charlie Rangel, has once again slithered out of the grip of justice. No surprise here. Another "made guy" (Nancy Pelosi) stepped in and rescued the obviously unconcerned Rangel. After all, why worry when you've got a majority of the House "on the pad"? Every time you see this guy, he's got a big smile ... not a care in the world. And don't forget, if your "family" "rats" on you, you can always pull out your ever popular race card (see my blog of September 4, 2009 - Charlie, Charlie, Charlie.) That will definitely keep you out of "the joint."

These people in Congress should all be indicted under the RICO laws ... Rangel, Pelosi and the 243 "soldiers" (Democrats) who voted not to pull Charlie's chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee (we figure out the Ways to steal your money and we have the Means to collect.) For those of you who haven't been following this real-life crime drama, Charlie is the chairman of the House committee that writes tax legislation. Charlie, it turns out, has not been (allegedly) paying all of his taxes for the last 20 years. This means that a suspected tax cheat is in charge of one of the most influential Congressional committees that also happens to determine new tax legislation. What a sweet "racket". Why, Charlie could retire on just the "vig" from all the taxes he hasn't paid! And, while he pays less, he can"squeeze" you for more!

What's next? A treasury Secretary who cheats on his taxes? Oh wait ... we already have one of those.

Mo' Power

"you're tellin' me to what .... ?"

So it seems that Janet Napolitano has forbade Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio from continuing his racist profiling of illegal immigrants. It seems that when he is searching for illegal immigrants, this filthy conservative racist actually only questions people who look like they're Mexicans. What a pig! Why, he should be arrested for not being more inclusive in his search. Why is he not questioning whites or blacks, hmmmm? They could just as easily be illegal aliens from Europe or Africa running around Phoenix, breaking the law.

Now, our courageous Homeland Security Secretary has moved to put a stop to this nonsense. You remember Janet Napolitano. She's the one that gave us a heads up to be wary of church groups and war veterans as possible instigators of a resurgence in ultra-right wing militias. What do you think these women at church bake sales are talking about? Cookies? Not a chance. They are obviously plotting some crazy act of domestic terrorism.

Now, let's get serious. Where in the Constitution is it indicated that the federal government has control over a duly sworn law enforcement officer of any state? When did we, the people, give permission to the federal government to tell our local law enforcement officers how to enforce legitimate laws? Who the hell is Janet Napolitano to tell any Sheriff in any state what to do when it comes to legitimately enforcing laws? What is wrong with this treacherous administration ? Are they so desperate for votes that they must court the illegal alien vote? In fact, how do illegal aliens even get to vote? I mean, I know they do, but how is it we let them? Let's ask ACORN!

Hispanic Americans are hard working and industrious. They deserve a shot at the America dream as much as any of us. But ILLEGAL aliens deserve nothing but a return ticket home. They don't deserve our resources and they don't deserve our justice. It's not unreasonable to think that illegal aliens in Phoenix, AZ will physically appear to be Hispanic. Also, I'm sure Sheriff Arpaio is not rounding up Hispanics in a wholesale manner. Rather, I suspect he is checking out the ones that look like trouble, and if you want our police to stop going with their gut, you might just as well get rid of the police. Yes, illegals should not be treated cruelly but they should be treated as what they are ... lawbreakers.

We absolutely must drive this crooked administration from Washington. If we don't, our children will live under an oppressive, centralized government for the rest of their lives and our great country will be lost. Petition your elected representatives to fight illegal immigration, to fight any "amnesty" bill, to exclude treatment of illegals from any socialized medicine package and to stop the insanity of granting citizenship to a baby born of illegal parents (otherwise known as an anchor baby.)

American Hero

US Army General Stanley McChrystal

The General knows the situation, told the real story to the world and chose to upset our Commander In Chief rather than jeopardize the lives of our brave troops in Afghanistan. It is rumored that this American hero got an "ass chewing" from Obama for telling the truth and putting his troops above Obama's cheap, petty politics. By the way, when Obama delivered his little tirade, he was sitting on Air Force One in Copenhagen on his way to lobby for the Chicago Olympics. This while a decision on troop strength in Afghanistan has been lingering for months. Priorities BO, priorities.

Was McChrystal insubordinate? Perhaps. Did the target of this possible insubordination, who has literally done nothing to either win this war or remove our troops, deserve this public embarrassment? You bet. His indecision is putting our troops in harm's way.

I say that the only ass chewing that needs doing is that of the American people and our elected representatives smacking down Obama for his inflated ego and his inability to make substantive decisions. He may be the Commander In Chief, but he is an indecisive elected official (yes, I deliberately did not use the term "leader") who is getting American troops killed.

Support our troops. Help drive Obama and this gang of Progressive politicians out of office.

Barack Obama Cancels Meeting With Dalai Lama "to keep China happy"

Note the position of the dog's tail ... pretty much says it all ...

Well, I'm not going to say anything about intestinal fortitude, character, commitment or dignity. I'll just let the picture and this article do the talking.

God Bless America and keep her safe.

It's Official - ISRAEL Is The Real Problem

The official stance of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency is now firmly committed to history. It was announced Sunday by that agency's Director General, Mohamed Elbaradei, that "Israel is the number one threat to the Middle East" with it's nuclear arsenal. You know, Israel. That tiny country surrounded by millions of Muslims, many of whom wish that every Jew in the world would just die. Kind of like another group of supremacists from the 1930's - 40's. With the wack job president of Iran screaming that the holocaust was a myth and that Israel should be destroyed, Israel is the problem, not Iran. Remember, just because Iran sponsors terrorists does not mean that they will use nuclear energy for anything more than generating electricity.

Let's examine a few facts here. Mr. Elbaradei is of course unbiased in any way because he represents that totally unbiased body, the United Nations. Some cynics (not me) might point out that he is an Egyptian, a Muslim AND he made this announcement from Tehran while meeting with Iranian officials. I don't know ... I'm pretty critical and I see absolutely no conflict of interest here. Do you?

Meanwhile, in Washington, Obama's staff is still formulating a really stern policy towards the Iranian nuclear program and if they don't see a trend towards cooperation from the Mullah's by the end of this year, some really harsh (as yet unspecified) words will be spoken in an international forum. Those Persians can't push us around!

You know you've got a problem here when the President of France chides our President for being extremely naive to the point of being dangerous. You know you're looking pretty weak when you get slammed for weakness by a country who prides itself on inaction!

As I've said repeatedly, if we don't rein this guy in, he's going to get a lot of us killed.

Talk About Clueless!

The more you read, the more you know that the progressive sycophants on the left just don't get it. Read the attached article from Rick Klein, author of ABC's daily political piece The Note if you want proof.

In this blog, Rick laments the loss of political capital that Obama has suffered due to the Olympic loss, indecision about Afghanistan, a muddled health care strategy that about 60% of us don't want and a variety of other problems. In short, he is merely saying, in "big media speak", what the rest of us have known for months. Obama is an incompetent and it is costing him in the polls. Of course, he says it nicer, almost to the point where he's complementing B.O.

In the article he quotes David Broder as saying that if Obama can jam socialized medicine through the Democrat (Progressive) controlled Congress, that may be just enough to win back his faltering political capital. Can these people really be serious? Is this really how these supposedly intelligent news analysts see the situation? Let's analyze this. Socialized medicine is so unpopular that 60% of us don't want it and the number grows daily. So, to make himself more popular, all he has to do is cram this absolutely unpopular piece of crap down our throats? Huh?

It gets better. Further down in his column, Rick quotes Susan Milligan of the Boston Globe, who states:

"And the economy, while apparently on the road to recovery, is still not producing new jobs and continues to generate anxiety around the country". Whaaaat? The economy is on the road to recovery? By what measure? Factory orders are down, unemployment is a disaster, consumer confidence continues to scrape all time lows, more banks are failing and the market is once again looking shaky. How do these wing nuts define "recovery"? Beam me up Scotty ... I need some of whatever it is these "journalists" are taking.

For a final bit of humor, Rick quotes Newsweek's Katie Connoly regarding the Olympic fiasco:

"This is pretty embarrassing for the White House. (Especially letting Obama having to fail in front of his wife -- ouch!) But ultimately, it's a good thing for him. As I wrote on Monday, the Olympics are notorious for running massively over budget. The organizing committees are always rife with infighting and power games as all manner of colorful cronies badger members to get their paws on some of those coveted Olympics dollars."

A couple of points here. First, even when this fop fails, it's a good thing according to the media. Second, she misses the most important reason for Obama's little jaunt to Copenhagen and that is precisely because he knows damn well that these Olympic wet dreams ALWAYS go billions of dallars over. That's exactly why Obama wanted the Olympics, so he could grease the palms of his Chicago political hack buddies. What's Mayor Daley going to do with all of that property he probably purchased in anticipation of selling it to the Olympic Committee? (I apologize ... we all know that Chicago politicians are not corrupt ... riiiight.)

These "inside the Beltway" reporters are so clearly out of touch with reality, it makes you wonder why anyone would take anything they say as serious news. I think it's more like light comedy.
