Well, the bad news is in about unemployment and apparently, I know more about the economy than the Obama Administration does because I called this on August 23, 2009. However, this is not surprising because most Americans know more about the economy than this bunch of incompetents in the White House.
"Official" unemployment is now at a staggering 9.8%. However, if you add in the people who have just given up on finding work, this rises to a whopping 17% !!! Meanwhile, Obama and the Missus have jetted off to Copenhagen to pander (sorry, beg ... no wait, promote) Chicago as the site for the 2016 Olympics. Isn't B.O. just a marvelous international president? This, of course, will create thousands of jobs in Chicago ... starting around 2012 or so ... very timely. And of course, let's don't forget that there are millions fewer people now paying taxes to support stupid government plans, so it is imperative that we continue to waste trillions (with a "t") more on stupid stimulus schemes, socialized medicine and of course, the 2016 Olympics. You can read the bad news for yourself (note the comment from the President that his $787 billion stimulus package has "broken the freefall" of the economy.) Do you suppose he is ignorant our a liar?
Unemployment is through the roof. Factory orders have fallen for the fifth straight month ("economists" actually thought they would rise this month), wages are dropping, credit is still tight, the real estate market still stinks and consumer spending continues to stagnate. This is how Obama defines "stopping the freefall"? I believe that making a statement like this in order to deliberately mislead the American people is irresponsible at best.
This President is breaking the back of the most robust economy the world has ever seen. He has capitalized on the mortgage fiasco (caused by useful Progressive idiots like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd) as the catalyst to effect "change". This "change" is slamming the country into a hard left turn that is a dead end street called socialism. We, as citizens, need to do even more to stop this power hungry gang from stealing the birthright of our children and destroying all of the good created by this country for over 200 years.
Increase he pressure. Talk to more people, donate more money to political organizations that represent your point of view, write to newspapers, call and write to your current representatives (even if they weren't your choice), be outraged when your intelligence is insulted by these dolts, vote and in the end, Don't Let The Bastards Wear You Down.
